Boost for the heart of North Holland
Luigi Prins, founder & president of the Cobraspen Group: “We are very pleased with this new step forward for the wider area. We work with a very professional partner: NEINVER. This development will give a boost to the heart of North Holland”.
It is expected that Schiphol can expect 5% more visitors who consciously come to this region for shopping. With the arrival of the outlet centre, the Amsterdam-Haarlem-Schiphol region will become even more prominent known as an attractive area for culture, museums and shopping. It complements the tourist package, because in addition to Schiphol, the tourists of cruise ships can also discover this region.
The arrival of the outlet centre will attract more than two million visitors annually and also creates 600 new jobs for the region. Sebastian Sommer, NEINVER’s Business Development Director Europe, said that it will boost the local economy. They will work closely with the municipality and local partners to make this project a success.
The design of the outlet centre is from Soeters Van Eldonk from Amsterdam. The same architects who designed the characteristic Silos on the SugarCity site. The design of the outlet centre matches the industrial character of the old sugar factory. The agency has ensured a thoughtful connection with the industrial heritage.
